Intuit’s Bookkeeping Course

The Intuit Academy (QuickBooks) course takes approx. 40 hours to complete. I took the Intuit Bookkeeping Course twice; 1st time taking 49 hours of ‘course time’. Then retook the same course, combing thru all the material at a slow pace which took 215 hours. That’s adds up to nearly 300 hours total of ‘course time’.

A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is a tour guide for businesses thru the world of bookkeeping and QuickBooks. Accounting is a foreign language with its own vocabulary, which we speak and act as a translator and interpreter.

When I decided to learn QB, took it very seriously as if it was a Masters Level course at graduate school. May 9th – July 13th two long months from 5am – 5pm, 7 days a week. I made a point to learn QB inside and out.

This deep understanding of how QB works, knowledge of all the all the features puts me in a better position to serve you, my client. One way to get the most value out of QB is making sure each client is fully using QB’s features, tailored to individual business needs. Wanting to ensure my knowledge of QB would be expert level, so my clients get the most out of QB for your money. QB looks simple and easy to use on the surface, underneath it’s a very sophisticated program with many integrated ‘Bell’s and Whistles‘ features.

QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Advanced, & PayRoll

QB ProAdvisor (Beginner and Intermediate Skills) is the first and only required certification to use QB as a bookkeeper. Every bookkeeper that uses QB will have these basic features certification. Advisor for onboarding new clients, Sales and Customers, Expenses and Vendors, Banking, running financial reports. June 4th earned ProAdvisor Status.

QB Advanced Advisor (Advanced Skills) took me another month to master. Advanced features is where QB gets impressive. This level of knowledge is where customizing clients QuickBooks experience will benefit the business best.

QB Payroll Advisor & QB Time Advisor: This is one of the many sophisticated features inside QuickBooks. Recently QB added a Payroll Time that integrates into QB Payroll.
