Three separate Window’s PC Laptops
Gaming PC Builder
A few years back, the opportunity came to learn how to build a home PC. I built 3 different monster gaming PC’S.
These were (Jason’s Monster’s) according to my friends who nicknamed them.
Built 3 from just parts bought, ‘Frankenstein’s Monster, The Beast, lastly Wolverine’.
The Story Behind Building Gaming PC’s
Catching nightly news, a computer gaming tournament convention was in town, and a reporter and camera crew went to it. The video from the from the floor, full of computer gaming geeks, seemed each had brought their own home-built computers. That was not the interesting part, the individual PCs were lit up, lights n stuff, see thru glass cases. Those looked so cool, but I was working 7 nights a week, not much time for entertainment. This stuck in back of my mind, until a few years later when I had a neighbor, he had a habit of dumpster diving behind computer stores. He would spend a couple days building a PC from the random parts from the dumpster. He would do this on a regular basis over a couple years, often I would sit and watch, and learn.
Eventually deciding I wanted to try and build one for myself. Went to fry’s Electronics, which had a complete computer builders’ section. Rows of PC tower Cases, motherboards, Chips’, Power supplies. Went on the internet and found $3,000 computer, and went thru the specifications, writing down everything, from CPU, RAM, HD hard drive storage, ended up spending around $1200 for same components to build a quality gaming PC. Thought about starting a home computer building business, they are better performance than store bought, and look very cool, and always drew friends’ attention. Starting with a case and buying a new part with every paycheck. Some of my friends named it Frankenstein, a monster built by me. The left side of the case had Plexiglas see thru panel. I had installed fans with blue colored lights, and a CPU fan resembled an upturned WW II airplane propeller, multiple 1 TB HD’s, built them for playing flight simulator. Built 3 from just parts bought, ‘Frankenstein’s Monster, The Beast, lastly Wolverine’.
